Kidsafe

What is Kidsafe?

The following information has been taken from the Kidsafe UK website which can be found at:

https://www.kidsafeuk.co.uk/

‘Kidsafe UK is a charity (Charity No: 1105179) founded by Val Webb and Jude Walker, who provide training to school staff in order for them to deliver specialised child protection/safeguarding programmes to children and young people from Early Years to High School. The Kidsafe programmes are age appropriate and are delivered to children without shattering their innocence.

Kidsafe aim is to protect, educate and empower children. The programme uses a puppet called ‘KS’, who focuses on weekly problems linked to protecting children.'

Kidsafe at The Drive Primary School

At the moment, we currently have two members of staff who are Kidsafe trained. These are Mrs Jackson and Mrs Dunn. Kidsafe is delivered on a rolling programme; we aim to ensure that all classes in the school are covered by the programme.

Please look at the Powerpoint below for further information. Before the Kidsafe Programme can start, we invite Parents/Carers into school to meet with Mrs Jackson and Mrs Dunn to chat about Kidsafe and the look at the resources. For the next information meeting, please keep an eye on the Newsletter for dates and times.
