Behaviour

At The Drive Community Primary School, we believe that positive relationships are at the heart of effective learning and good behaviour. We are committed to creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment where every child feels valued, understood and supported to succeed.

We recognise that behaviour is a form of communication and that children may need support to develop the skills required for self-regulation, emotional wellbeing and positive relationships. Our approach is underpinned by:

  • Thrive principles
  • PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy)
  • Trauma-informed practice
  • Restorative approaches

Through these approaches, we aim to help children feel safe, develop resilience and become successful learners.
