Year 4 Team
I’m Miss Seddon. I love keeping active through yoga and Pilates, and I enjoy spending time outdoors with my dog, Beau. My favourite subject to teach is Maths - especially multiplication, which I love bringing to life in fun way in the classroom.
Our Year 4 team consists of Miss Seddon and Miss Naimah.

Yearly Overview
In Year 4, your child will enjoy a broad and engaging curriculum designed to build confidence, creativity and curiosity. They will explore exciting topics such as rainforests, rivers, how childrens' lives have changed, the Anglo-Saxons and the ancient Maya, while also developing practical skills in art, design technology and computing.
We place a strong emphasis on speaking and listening (oracy), encouraging children to share ideas, explain their thinking and work together as a team. Collaborative learning helps pupils build confidence and develop important social skills. Alongside this, children investigate the world around them in science, learning about topics such as habitats and electricity.
A wide range of subjects including PE, music, PSHE, RE and Spanish support your child’s wellbeing, teamwork and cultural understanding, helping them grow into confident and well-rounded learners.
Weekly Timetable

Year 4 Multiplication Tables Check (MTC)
In June, all Year 4 pupils take part in the statutory Multiplication Tables Check (MTC), introduced by the Department for Education (DfE). This short online assessment checks pupils’ knowledge of times tables up to 12 × 12 and ensures they have a secure foundation in key mathematical skills.
The check takes place in a supportive and familiar environment, using a simple timed format where pupils answer a series of multiplication questions. Throughout the year, children are well prepared through regular practice and engaging activities, helping to build confidence and fluency.
We are incredibly proud of the effort and determination shown by our Year 4 pupils as they complete this important national assessment.
