Yearly Overview
Over the year, we study a variety of topics, including the Vikings, World War Two, the Tudors, the Alps, deserts and the oceans. At The Drive, we aim to learn through enquiry, using role play, artefacts and enquiry questions to fully immerse children in the subjects they are learning about. Weekly Timetable
Our mornings are busy! We usually begin with Guided Reading/Reading Plus with TTRS and focused spelling practise after. We then look at GPS (Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling) rules, followed by English and Maths before lunch. In the afternoons, we begin with arithmetic practice and then two lessons consisting of foundation subjects.

Key Information
We ask that all children come to school equipped with the correct uniform and a water bottle each day.
Our PE days are Monday and Friday.
In Autumn term, we attend swimming lessons on a Wednesday and children will be required to bring their swimming kit every week.
Children will receive their spellings each Monday and those who require it will receive reading texts which should be practised at home. These will be renewed on 2-4 week basis depending on the text.
