At The Drive Primary School, we follow the statutory guidance from the National Curriculum for Mathematics. We work alongside Gateshead County Council to support the planning and delivery of mathematics.
Children are assessed daily through the marking of work, observations, teacher and pupil feedback, children’s own self-assessment and through peer assessment. Children in Years 1,3,4 and 5 will be assessed termly on place value, addition and subtraction and division and multiplication. Children in Years 2 and 6 sit the National Curriculum SAT Tests towards the end of the academic year.
