Year 1
Our Year 1 classroom is a happy, creative, and stimulating place to be. We aim to make the transition from Reception to Year 1 smooth by giving children the opportunity to use a range of play-based learning styles before gradually moving into a more formal learning approach.
In Year 1 there is a big focus on teaching phonics to develop both reading and writing, whilst using a variety of topics to make the learning exciting!
We proudly celebrate the children’s achievements and encourage them to share their learning with the rest of our school.
