Dear parents and carers,
I am sure you are very aware that the Prime Minister has announced that all schools have closed to most pupils from today until February half term. Although this was not unexpected due to the current situation with the pandemic, it is not the news that anyone wanted to hear. As stated in yesterday’s letter, we will provide remote learning (follow this link for information on how to access this - https://www.thedriveprimary.co.uk/remote-learning-1/) and will need your support to help continue your child's education. If you need any password updates, please contact school.
I will continue to keep you as updated as possible over the coming days and weeks, and thank you for your continued support.
Stay safe and look after each other.
Together we are stronger!
Mrs Farren
In the event the school closes for the majority, please complete this questionnaire communicating if you require a Key Worker space for your child/children (follow the link below)
Please note, if you are able to have your children working from home (remote learning), a space is not required and your answer to question 3 should be no.
Please also note, this is not to say we are closing, but a chance to be as prepared as possible in the event we do.
Thank you again for your support.
Mrs Farren.
Happy New Year!
You will have no doubt seen/heard the news regarding the Union’s take on children in Primary School’s returning to school and the response from the Council. I would like to reassure you all that when I have more clarity you will be informed. The Gateshead Local Authority is taking a united approach to this and when I have more information, you will also. As it stands at the minute, things have not changed regarding the children returning to school Tuesday 5th January. I have been in touch with my Governing Body and will be updating you all as soon as possible with any further information. Please keep checking your emails/texts and the website.
Many thanks for your support.
Mrs Farren
